ASA

ASA keeps strength and color outdoors. It prints like ABS (enclosure helps) with less yellowing in sun.

Typical print: Nozzle 240–255 °C, Bed 100–110 °C, Chamber 30–45 °C, 40–60 mm/s
Drying: 70–75 °C for 4–6h.
Adhesion: PEI/garolite; brim/raft recommended.
Notes: Ventilate; similar to ABS.

Pros

  • UV stability
  • Tough
  • Paintable

Cons

  • Needs enclosure
  • Warp on big flats

Why ASA vs ABS?

Holds up in sunlight; better for outdoor parts and automotive uses.
