TPU

TPU brings elasticity and impact absorption. Direct drive makes life easier; tune retraction and speed to prevent jams.

Typical print: Nozzle 215–235 °C, Bed 40–60 °C, 20–35 mm/s
Drying: 45–50 °C for 6–8h if stringing.
Adhesion: PEI or glass with light glue stick.
Notes: Ventilate as normal; avoid overheating.

Pros

  • Flexible & tough
  • Great grip
  • Fun functional prints

Cons

  • Slow prints
  • Path sensitivity on Bowden
  • Stringing if wet/too hot

Extruder Setup

Direct-drive preferred. On Bowden, shorten tube and reduce retraction.
